As most of you know I am an avid quilter making lots of baby quilts and then giving them away. Here’s a picture of a scrap quilt I made for myself. It took over a year, and I thought I could finish it a month, but it turns out that 2.5 inch squares are very small and require lots of sewing to get them all together. The scraps are taken from lots of baby quilts, and family quilts that I’ve made in the last 4 years. The boys enjoy playing ‘who’s blanket is this?’ a lot longer than mom is interested anyway. Enjoy!

The boys have been begging to go to the zoo. We obliged them today. Weather wise it was a great day, warm but not yet too hot. We enjoyed wandering around and scaring off the peacocks. Freddy said ’someone is calling for help, it’s just the cockies’. Too funny, since the peacock’s call does sound like the word help. Stephen had a little rougher time. He climbed a rock, lost his balance and cut his forehead. Heads bleed. A lot. He’ll probably have a tiny scar, but we didn’t want to face the ER. Do they have rock climbing for 4year olds? Clearly his motto is ‘if it’s there it must be climbed’. This includes but is not limited to: deli counters, fire truck tires, rocks at the zoo, and parked cars.

I have tried to find ways to keep in touch and keep everyone up on pictures. I’m trying something new! Bookmark this page and every so often I’ll update and post pictures. I invited lots of folks to join Myspace, but it seems there’s an age limit, (like if you’re over 15 no one wants to try it out) Since everyone didn’t join My Space, this might work! I’ll start with some Hawaii pictures and let you know of some great stories as they happen. During a recent lightening storm Freddy wanted to know who was taking all the pictures outside! Freddy also thinks I made the ‘Pantene’ commercial on TV, so I couldn’t disappoint him and told him he was right. Stephen is excited to start pre-school and we are counting down the weeks until preschool starts! Stephen sometimes crawls in bed on the nights Michael’s at work, because “mommy you’re so cuddly”. Which means I don’t even notice to put him back to bed. Otherwise all is well!
